Appointment of Manola Sanchez Aragú as General Manager of the British Chamber of Business in Southern Africa


Johannesburg, 28 March 2024 – The British Chamber of Business Southern Africa (BCBSA) is proud to announce the appointment of Manola Sanchez Aragú as its new General Manager. She steps into a newly created GM position to oversee the governance, administration and operations of the Chamber.


Manola brings a deep understanding of member-based organisations having previously served as the acting general manager for the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in South Africa.

Her extensive experience in strategic management consultancy and leadership interventions align perfectly with our goals. The British Chamber of Business serves as a nexus for business, government, and essential stakeholders in both South Africa and the UK. Its primary objective is to foster and enhance trade and commercial relations between the two nations. The Chamber plays a pivotal role in assisting businesses by facilitating connections, bridging gaps, and providing avenues for accessing new markets in the dynamic landscape of bilateral trade.


Prior to joining BCBSA, Manola also served as the Managing Director of the Global Business Institute of Management & Leadership (GBIML), the International Institute of Business Management (IIBM) and the Institute of Business Leadership (IBL). She also held the position of Head of WorleyParsons RSA Learning, Development and Talent Management office.
