"Working with the British Chamber of Business in Southern Africa this year has been properly valuable. 🇬🇧 🇿🇦 The events, the roundtables, golf days, the side conversations… that’s where you really hear what UK businesses are thinking about South Africa. What excites them, what worries them, and what gets them over the line. Winning the British Lion Awards earlier in 2025 was a proud moment for the team, but the real value has been the access to people who are driving the UK–Africa commercial agenda. People like Manola Sanchez Aragú, General Manager of the British Chamber of Business, who’s been brilliant at pulling the right groups together and making the conversations real, and John Humphrey, His Majesty's Trade Commissioner for Africa, whose view of the broader UK–Africa opportunity has genuinely shaped some of our thinking when assessing new African markets to target. A lot of what we’re building with Salt has been influenced by these interactions - especially the nearshoring model, the confidence UK businesses need to expand here, and the full-stack approach we’re putting behind our growing service offering. The UK–SA corridor has momentum again. Being in those rooms has helped us build Salt Labs in a way that actually solves the problems international teams face… not the ones we assume they have."

As a multidisciplinary law firm with close ties to the UK and many UK based clients we find our association with the chamber to be a most rewarding one. The ability the chamber provides to meet new connections and to voice concerns that effect our clients is invaluable.

We are now working with a fellow Chamber member - who is a new client for us, on a project in Saudi Arabia. It is unlikely that we would have been approached had it not been for the introduction through the British Chamber.
